Lesley A. Kavanaugh is a NYS licensed massage therapist and certified yoga teacher.  She has over 20 years experience helping clients relieve pain and reduce stress.  Lesley is grateful she can help others.  She enjoys teaching clients how they can change their bodies with regular bodywork, exercise, and self-care routines.

Lesley is friendly, approachable, and cares deeply about her work.  She is constantly researching and developing new methods to help you feel your best.  Every session is customized for you.  By providing support and guidance, she helps you regain strength, flexibility, and reduces the stress that often accompanies pain and dysfunction.  Lesley's work is therapeutic offering a firm touch, but will always adjust to your comfort level.  She believes the body has the ability to heal itself and that she is just a facilitator.

Science and art have always been of great interest to Lesley, and massage therapy provides an opportunity to combine both the science and the art of medicine and healing.  Lesley taught massage therapy courses for over three years, and enjoys being both a student and a teacher.  She encourages clients to take an active role in their health and well-being and Lesley is grateful to be a part of their health care team.

Benefits of Massage Therapy + Yoga

Massage therapy offers the benefit of a healthier mind, body, and soul, but also something more.  Combining pain-relieving modalities such as connective tissue work and neuromuscular therapy with the rejuvenating qualities of Swedish massage, you're offered an opportunity to nourish yourself,  facilitate pain relief, stress relief, creating an ease of movement and general comfort and peace.

Massage, bodywork, and yoga can help with...

General Well-Being
Injuries + Recovery
Movement + Posture
Acute + Chronic Pain
Support a busy, active lifestyle

“I have been a client of Lesley's for about a year now. Prior to working with her regularly, I had serious and continuous back muscle pain and terrible migraines often. Lesley's work on my back has legitimately changed my life. Before seeing her every month to every two weeks, I struggled to just get out of bed due to the headaches and muscle aches.  Since she started working on my back I feel as if I am a new person. The headaches dramatically reduced within the first 1-3 sessions and same with the back pain. She is excellent. Every time I see her she spends a few minutes asking about how my back and neck are, if any thing has changed or if there has been anything in my life since I last saw her that would effect my back. Through that conversation she immediately knows what I need in that session to help me feel better.

Lesley's treatment room is relaxing and stress free. She provides a wonderful atmosphere that is calming and warm. I feel comfortable and happy when I am in her treatment space. She is so pleasant and caring that I always look forward to seeing her.

I also severely hurt my back months after I started seeing her. She has been more helpful than any Emergency Room staff, doctors, chiropractors, and physical therapists. She listens to me, asks more questions and listens to the response and then using her impressive knowledge of massage is able to help me find relief that no one else has been able to help me with.

I would overwhelmingly recommend Lesley Kavanaugh for someone interested in a relaxing massage or to someone in need of a therapeutic massage. She is fantastic and will definitely help make you feel better.”  - 2/4/14 Kaitlyn
