Troy Healing Arts is Hiring!
Looking for 2 part-time massage therapists to work Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (the busier you get, the more days and hours will be available to you). Ideally hours will be spilt between therapists to allow everyone to work their preferred schedule and coordinate time off.
Therapists must be able to work without oversight, yet be willing to learn and receive training from me on everything from ethics and professionalism to assessment and treatment to maintain the mission of Troy Healing Arts. If you have excellent customer service skills, a positive can-do attitude, and most importantly are empathetic, compassionate, friendly and interested in helping me continue to grow the practice I want to hear from you. Preference given to those with critical thinking and problem solving skills, an innate interest in helping others, and a desire to learn. **Areas of specialization sought: TMJ dysfunction assessment and treatment experience including CranioSacral Therapy training at level 2 certification or higher which includes intra-oral work; Thai Yoga Massage certification, experience with migraine specific treatments, sports specific treatment experience including sports-related injuries, working with high school, college athletes, and masters athletes. Also, if you're interested in a full-time/office management track, or have other skills outside of massage therapy that you can offer please include that in your cover letter--including but not limited to: skills in marketing, social media, community outreach, proofreading, editing, writing, etc. *THANK YOU*
About me and why I've decided to expand: I’ve been practicing for over 20 years, and have grown my business in Troy over the past 16 years. I currently only accept a limited number of new clients by referral and have had to turn new clients away repeatedly due to my full schedule. Based on feedback I've received, training and hiring massage therapists as employees seemed like the best option to continue helping more people. This is a great opportunity to work with a successful massage therapy practice, enjoy helping others without the stress of business management, and be part of a growing small business in a lovely and flourishing community. While growth is important, my primary business structure is to remain a small, client-focused massage therapy practice. Even as a small group of dedicated practitioners, we can do a lot for many. I look forward to reading your application, resumes, and cover letters. Thank you so much for your interest!
